The Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. Delta Upsilon Chapter, located in Trenton, New Jersey was founded on January 30, 1950, and celebrates its 74th Anniversary of service in our local communities. Our Fraternity was founded based on the Cardinal Principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance and Uplift. Our Chapter continues a rich heritage and legacy of leadership and community support throughout the Trenton/Mercer County New Jersey and the Lower Bucks County Pennsylvania communities.
We are proud to announce our 2024 Collegiate Scholarship Program designed to provide financial assistance to exemplary college‐bound students who exemplify academic, community service and extracurricular excellence.
2024 Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Upsilon Chapter Scholarship Opportunities:
We are providing Collegiate Scholarships for students who will be attending any accredited college and Scholarships specific to a student attending an accredited historically Black College or University (HBCU).
Each Scholarship is valued at $1,000 and will be provided directly to the winning recipients who will be selected and notified by the end of May 2024.
Who Should Apply:
We invite college‐bound high school seniors from within the Greater Trenton, Mercer County, NJ and Lower Bucks County, PA. communities to apply for the Collegiate Scholarship opportunities.
Selection Criteria & Required Application Components:
Scholarships are aimed towards Black, male students from our communities
Official academic transcript with minimum 2.75 GPA in a 4‐point system
Recognized community service and extracurricular activities
Two (2) recommendation letters from teacher, guidance counselor, or community organization leaders
Additional supporting information: AP/Honors coursework, achievements, special awards and/or athletics
One (1) 250 word essay addressing one of the following topics:
The importance of Voting Rights in America
b) Stories of personal perseverance and overcoming adversity
c) Pressing social issues and solutions.

Applicants are encouraged to review their submissions with their local school administrator(s) prior to submission.
Collegiate Scholarship Selection Process:
All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Dynamic Delta Upsilon Chapter.
Collegiate Scholarship recipients will be honored in celebration at their schools in conjunction with events approved by the respective High Schools during May and June 2024.
Recipients will also be acknowledged and celebrated at a local Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Dynamic Delta Upsilon Chapter event during June 2024, with details to be communicated later.
Payment of Scholarships
Once proof of enrollment as a full-time student has been received, the payments will be processed and remitted by the Scholarship Committee. Payments are processed in the month of August. Checks will be mailed to each recipient’s home address and made payable to the school for the student.
