The Delta Upsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., located in Trenton, New Jersey, proudly celebrates 75 years of service to our local communities. Founded on January 30, 1950, our chapter continues to uphold the fraternity’s Cardinal Principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift by fostering leadership and supporting the Trenton/Mercer County, New Jersey, and Lower Bucks County, Pennsylvania communities.
2025 Collegiate Scholarship Program
In honor of our commitment to education and community service, we are pleased to announce the 2025 Delta Upsilon Collegiate Scholarship Program. This initiative aims to provide financial assistance to outstanding college-bound students who demonstrate excellence in academics, community service, and extracurricular activities.
Scholarship Opportunities
● General Collegiate Scholarships – Available to students attending any accredited college or university.
● HBCU-Specific Scholarships – Designated for students enrolling in an accredited Historically Black College or University (HBCU).
Each scholarship is valued at $1,500 and will be awarded directly to the selected recipients.
Scholarship winners will be notified by the end of May 2025.
Who Should Apply:
We invite college-bound high school seniors from the Greater Trenton, Mercer County, NJ and Lower Bucks County, PA. communities to apply for the Collegiate Scholarship opportunities.
Selection Criteria & Required Application Components:
● Official academic transcript with minimum 2.75 GPA in a 4-point system
● Recognized community service and extracurricular activities
● Two (2) recommendation letters from teacher, guidance counselor, or community organization leaders
● Additional supporting information: AP/Honors coursework, achievements, special awards and/or athletics
● One (1) 250 word essay addressing one of the following topics:
○ The importance of Voting Rights in America
○ Stories of personal perseverance and overcoming adversity
○ What do you feel is the greatest impact social media is making on our mental health and why do you think it is important to address this issue?

2025 Collegiate Scholarship Program
APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED BY: MAY 10, 2025
● Applicants please fill out the following link:
● Applicants are encouraged to review their submissions with their local school administrator(s) prior to submission.
● All applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Committee of the Delta Upsilon Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.
● Collegiate Scholarship recipients will be honored in celebration at their schools in conjunction with events approved by the respective High Schools during May and June 2025.
● Recipients will also be acknowledged and celebrated at a local Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Delta Upsilon Chapter event during June 2025, with details to be communicated later.
Once proof of enrollment as a full-time student has been received, the payments will be processed and remitted by the Scholarship Committee. Payments are processed in the month of August. Checks will be mailed to each recipient’s home address and made payable to the school for the student.
